The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
