The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
