Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
