Have you not seen those who dispute with respect to the communications of Allah: how are they turned away? 69 Those who reject the Book and that with which We have sent Our Apostle; but they shall soon come to know, 70 When the fetters and chains are on their necks, and they dragged 71 In the boiling water, then they will be burned in the Fire. 72 Then it will be said to them: "Where are (all) those whom you used to join in worship as partners 73 other than Allah' They will reply: 'They have gone astray from us. Indeed what we used to call upon before is nothing' Accordingly, Allah leads the unbelievers astray. 74 (And it is said unto them): This is because ye exulted in the earth without right, and because ye were petulant. 75 Enter the gates of hell to abide therein, evil then is the abode of the proud. 76 So be thou patient; surely God's promise is true. Whether We show thee a part of that We promise them, or We call thee unto Us, to Us they shall be returned. 77 And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of Allah. So when the command of Allah comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all]. 78

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
