And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right? 28 (Here is) a Book which We have sent down unto thee, full of blessings, that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition. 29 We gave David Solomon. He was an excellent servant who always turned to God. 30 When in the evening were presented to him the standing steeds, 31 He said: "The love of horses is worthy of desire to me for the remembrance of my Lord;" and when they were out of sight, (he said): 32 Bring them back to me' And he hacked their legs and necks (slaughtering them for Allah). 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He said, “My Lord! Forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom, which shall not befit anyone after me; indeed only You are the Great Bestower.” 35 So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed, 36 and We also subjected the devils to him -- all kinds of builders and divers; 37 And others fettered in chains. 38 [And We told him:] "This is Our gift, for thee to bestow freely on others, or to withhold, without [having to render] account!" 39 And he had a near place in Our presence and a fair resort. 40
