Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When those [heavenly messengers] came unto him and bade him peace, he answered, "[And upon you be] peace!" - [saying to himself,] "They are strangers." 25 Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf 26 So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? 27 Then he became afraid of them. They said: “Fear not,” and announced to him the good news of (the birth of) a boy endowed with knowledge. 28 Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' 29 They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" 31 They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, 32 that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones 33 “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” 34 So We brought out from therein the believers. 35 But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves, 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the afflictive torment. 37 And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. 38 and he turned away in [the pride of] his power and said, "A sorcerer [is this Moses,] or a madman!" 39 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. 40 And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. 41 It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding 44 they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
