۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 and you are watching at that time 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
