The News (Al-Naba')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ What do they question each other about! 1 (Is it) of the great announcement 2 on which they [so utterly] disagree. 3 (What they think is certainly despicable!). They will soon come to know (the reality). 4 Again, no indeed; they shall soon know! 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse. 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And We have created you in pairs. 8 And have appointed your sleep for repose, 9 and We made the night a mantle, 10 And the day for seeking livelihood. 11 We raised over you several secure (skies), 12 (the sun) as a shining torch 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 That We may produce from it grain and vegetation, 15 And dense gardens. 16 Surely a time is fixed for the Day of Judgement. 17 the day the Trumpet is blown, and you shall come in troops, 18 and when the sky shall be opened up and will become all doors; 19 And the mountains will be moved – they will therefore become like mirages. 20 Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 In which they will remain for ages [unending]. 23 and where they will taste neither coolness nor any drink 24 save boiling water and a stinking fluid -- 25 , A fitting reward. 26 for they never expected to be called to account, 27 And they belied Our revelations with strong belying. 28 And We have recorded everything in a book, 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30
