Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
