The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
