Al-Hijjr 2 of 6
We have placed constellations in heaven and have beautified it for beholders, 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 so that anyone who seeks to learn [the unknowable] by stealth is pursued by a flame clear to see. 18 As for the earth, We have stretched it out and have cast on it firm mountains, and have caused to grow in it everything well-measured. 19 And We have provided sustenance for you on it and also for those of whom you are not the providers. 20 Naught is there, but its treasuries are with Us, and We send it not down but in a known measure. 21 And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. 22 It is We who give life and We who give death, and We are the One who will abide. 23 And certainly We know those of you who have gone before and We certainly know those who shall come later. 24 Assuredly it is thy Lord Who will gather them together: for He is perfect in Wisdom and Knowledge. 25
