(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
