Al-Qalam 2 of 2
Lo! for those who keep from evil are gardens of bliss with their Lord. 34 Shall We then treat the (submitting) Muslims like the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists and disbelievers, etc.)? 35 What is amiss with you? On what do you base your judgment [of right and wrong]? 36 Or have you a Book in which you read 37 That you have surely therein what you choose? 38 Or have ye Covenants with Us to oath, reaching to the Day of Judgment, (providing) that ye shall have whatever ye shall demand? 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful. 41 The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able, 42 Their eyes will be cast down, ignominy will cover them; they used to be called to prostrate (offer prayers), while they were healthy and good (in the life of the world, but they did not). 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 A (long) respite will I grant them: truly powerful is My Plan. 45 Askest thou a hire from them so that they are laden with debt? 46 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 47 So wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, and be not like the companion of the fish, when he cried while he was in distress. 48 Had it not been that favour from his Lord had reached him he surely had been cast into the wilderness while he was reprobate. 49 Then his Lord chose him, and He made him of the good. 50 And the Unbelievers would almost trip thee up with their eyes when they hear the Message; and they say: "Surely he is possessed!" 51 But it is nothing less than a Message to all the worlds. 52
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
