Nay, by the Moon 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
