Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
