And the trumpet shall be blown, when lo! from their graves they shall hasten on to their Lord. 51 Saying: "Ah woe, who has roused us from our sleep?" This is what Ar-Rahman had promised, and whose truth the apostles had affirmed. 52 It will be no more than a single Blast, when lo! they will all be brought up before Us! 53 "Today, then, no human being shall be wronged in the least, nor shalt you be requited for aught but what you were doing [on earth]. 54 Surely the inmates of Paradise will be engaged in pastimes. 55 they and their spouses shall be reclining on their couches in shady groves; 56 [only] delight will there be for them, and theirs shall be all that they could ask for: 57 "Peace be with you," will be a greeting for them from the Merciful Lord. 58 (And He will say): 'Distance yourselves, O sinners, this Day. 59 ۞ Children of Adam, did We not command you not to worship satan. He was your sworn enemy. 60 and serve Me alone: this is the Straight Way? 61 And certainly he led astray numerous people from among you. What! could you not then understand? 62 This is Hell which you were promised! 63 [Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny." 64 This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn. (It is said that one's left thigh will be the first to bear the witness). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 22, Page 24] 65 NOW HAD IT BEEN Our will [that men should not be able to discern between right and wrong,] We could surely have deprived them of their sight, so that they would stray forever from the [right] way: for how could they have had insight [into what is true]? 66 And had it been Our will [that they should not be free to choose between right and wrong,] We could surely have given them a different nature [and created them as beings rooted] in their places, so that they would not be able to move forward, and could not turn back.] 67
