The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn, 2 And thy Lord do thou magnify! 3 And thine raiment purify. 4 And banish all trepidation. 5 Do not give, thinking to gain greater 6 For the sake of thy Lord, be patient! 7 When the trumpet is sounded,. 8 that Day will be a hard and distressing Day. 9 Far from easy for those without Faith. 10 LEAVE Me alone [to deal] with him whom I have created alone, 11 And gave him abundant wealth 12 and sons to be by his side, 13 To whom I made (life) smooth and comfortable! 14 Then he desires that I should add more. 15 Nay! Verily, he has been stubborn and opposing Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). 16 I will cover him with arduous torment. 17 He reflected and then hatched a scheme. 18 death seize him, how he determined! 19 yea, he destroys himself, the way he meditates! 20 Then he looked round; 21 and then he frowns and glares, 22 then turned back, and swelling-up with pride, 23 He said, 'This is naught but a trumped-up sorcery; 24 This is not but the word of a human being." 25 I will cast him into the fire of Hell. 26 And what can make you know what is Saqar? 27 It shall not spare, nor leave. 28 It glows and burns the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell). 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
