The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 On a guarded tablet. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
