And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
