By the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to humans, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
