Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
