Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And no trifle. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
