Nay, and by the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning to mankind, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
