The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
