Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 Make my task easy 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 And let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
