'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 and believe in His messages 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 "Put a stop to your groaning now! Surely no help shall be provided to you from Us. 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77
