Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
