The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
