So they went (their way) until when they embarked in the boat he made a hole in it. (Musa) said: Have you made a hole in it to drown its inmates? Certainly you have done a grievous thing. 71 He answered: "Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?" 72 He said: Blame me not for what I forgot, and do not constrain me to a difficult thing in my affair. 73 So they set out again; until when they met a boy, the chosen bondman slew him – Moosa said, “Did you slay an innocent soul not in retribution for another? You have indeed done an extremely evil thing.” 74 ۞ 'Did I not tell you' he replied, 'that you would not be able to bear patiently with me' 75 Moses said, "If I ask you such questions again, abandon me; you will have enough reason to do so." 76 Then they proceeded: until, when they came to the inhabitants of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused them hospitality. They found there a wall on the point of falling down, but he set it up straight. (Moses) said: "If thou hadst wished, surely thou couldst have exacted some recompense for it!" 77 "This is the parting of our "ways," he said. "But I will now explain the things you could not bear: 78 As for the boat, it belonged to poor men working in the sea, so I intended to damage it, for there was before them a prince taking every boat by force. 79 And as for the boy, his parents were believers and we feared lest he should make disobedience and ingratitude to come upon them: 80 so we desired that their Lord should give to them in exchange one better than he in purity, and nearer in tenderness. 81 As for that wall, it belonged to two orphan boys of the city, and their treasure was buried under it. Their father was an upright man. So your Lord willed that on reaching the age of maturity they should dig out their treasure as a favour from their Lord. So, I did not do that of my own accord. This is the explanation of things you could not bear with patience." 82
