Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
