The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
