Hizb 46

And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
