Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner." 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 for an appointed time". 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
