Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 You shall know. 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
