3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
