It was not in falsehood that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. That is the thought of the unbelievers. But woe to the unbelievers because of the Fire! 27 Or shall We make those who believe and do righteous deeds as the workers of corruption in the earth, or shall We make the godfearing as the transgressors? 28 (It is) a Book We have revealed to you abounding in good that they may ponder over its verses, and that those endowed with understanding may be mindful. 29 We granted Solomon to David, a blessed servant of Ours and certainly the most repentant person. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 And he said: "Alas! I did love the good (these horses) instead of remembering my Lord (in my 'Asr prayer)" till the time was over, and (the sun) had hidden in the veil (of night). 32 "Bring them back to me." then began he to pass his hand over (their) legs and their necks. 33 Certainly We tried Solomon, and We cast upon his throne a mere body; then he repented. 34 He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me; 35 So, We subjected to him the wind, it blew gently to his order whithersoever he willed, 36 And [also] the devils [of jinn] - every builder and diver 37 And also others bound in fetters. 38 [Saying of Allah to Sulaiman (Solomon)]: "This is Our gift, so spend you or withhold, no account will be asked." 39 And he enjoyed, indeed, a Near Approach to Us, and a beautiful Place of (Final) Return. 40
