Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
