S (Saad)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 Those who deny the truth are steeped in arrogance and hostility. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape. 3 They are surprised that a warner should come to them from among themselves. They say, "This is a magician, a great liar. 4 What! makes he the gods a single Allah? A strange thing is this, to be sure! 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We heard not thereof in the later faith; this is naught but an invention. 7 To him of all of us has the Reminder been sent down?" They are still in doubt about My admonition; but they have not tasted My punishment yet! 8 Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower? 9 Is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for them? So would they not just ascend using ropes? 10 But there - will be put to flight even a host of confederates. 11 Before them the people of Noah, Ad, and Pharaoh of the tent-pegs gave the lie (to the Messengers) 12 And Samood and the people of Lut and the dwellers of the thicket; these were the parties. 13 None of them was such that it did not deny the Noble Messengers, therefore My punishment became inevitable. 14
