Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah, and He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise. 1 For Him only is the kingship of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death; and He is Able to do all things. 2 He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent: and He has full knowledge of all things. 3 It is He that created the heavens and the earth in six days then seated Himself upon the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth, and what comes forth from it, -- what comes down from heaven, and what goes up unto it. He is with you wherever you are; and God sees the things you do. 4 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and to Allah are (all) affairs returned. 5 He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and he is Knowing of that within the breasts. 6 Believe in Allah and His messenger, and spend of that whereof He hath made you trustees; and such of you as believe and spend (aright), theirs will be a great reward. 7 What has come upon you that you believe not in God, though the Prophet is calling you to believe in your Lord? And He has already taken your pledge, if you are believers. 8 It is He who sends down upon His servant signs, clear signs, that He may bring you forth from the shadows into the light. Surely God is to you All-gentle, All-compassionate. 9 Why should you not spend for the cause of God, when God alone holds the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who spent and fought before the victory will be higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. Yet God has promised you all a good reward. He is aware of all that you do. 10
