Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
