[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 by raising its vault high and fashioning it flawlessly, 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 And the earth! thereafter He stretched it out. 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 And solidified the mountains. 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 But when the great disaster cometh, 34 on that Day man will [clearly] remember all that he has ever wrought; 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds, 37 and preferred the present life, 38 Will surely have Hell for his abode. 39 But, whosoever feared the standing before his Lord and prevented the self from desires, 40 Will surely have Paradise for abode. 41 They ask thee of the Hour: when will it come to port? 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 The extent of its knowledge goes to your Lord. 44 you are but a warner for those who fear it. 45 It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof. 46
