Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 and we are bringing thee the certainty [of its fulfilment]: for, behold, we are speaking the truth indeed. 64 So set forth, thou with thy family, in a watch of the night, and follow after the backs of them, and let not any one of you turn round; and depart unto the place you are commanded.' 65 We informed him that the unbelievers would be utterly destroyed. 66 And the people of the city came, rejoicing at the news (of new arrivals). 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 And keep your duty to Allah, and shame me not! 69 They replied, "Did we not forbid you to bring anyone to your house?" 70 He said, “These women of our tribe are my daughters, if you have to.” 71 By your life, they wandered on in their wild intoxication 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 and We turned it uppermost nethermost and rained on it stones of baked clay. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 And the (cities were) right on the high-road. 76 Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed. 77 And the dwellers in the wood indeed were evil-doers. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
