The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 You may perhaps wear out your heart because they do not come to belief. 3 Had We wanted, We would have sent them a miracle from the sky to make their heads hang down in submission. 4 And never does a new advice come to them from the Most Gracious, but they turn away from it. 5 Indeed they have denied, so now soon coming upon them are the tidings of what they used to scoff at. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how many We caused to grow in it every generous kind? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
