Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know all that you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
