We settled the Children of Israel in a beautiful dwelling-place, and provided for them sustenance of the best: it was after knowledge had been granted to them, that they fell into schisms. Verily Allah will judge between them as to the schisms amongst them, on the Day of Judgment. 93 So if you (O Muhammad SAW) are in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto you, [i.e. that your name is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] then ask those who are reading the Book [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before you. Verily, the truth has come to you from your Lord. So be not of those who doubt (it). 94 And be not thou of those who deny the revelations of Allah, for then wert thou of the losers. 95 Indeed those for whom the Word of your Lord has proved true, will not believe. 96 Even though all the signs came to them, not till they face the grievous punishment. 97 So if only had there been one dwelling* that believed and its belief would have benefited it – except the nation of Yunus (Jonah)! When they accepted faith, We removed the disgraceful punishment in the life of this world from them, and let them enjoy for a while. (* That was destroyed after being warned.) 98 And [thus it is:] had thy Sustainer so willed, all those who live on earth would surely have attained to faith, all of them: dost thou, then, think that thou couldst compel people to believe, 99 It is not for any soul to believe save by the leave of God; and He lays abomination upon those who have no understanding. 100 Say: Consider what is it that is in the heavens and the earth; and signs and warners do not avail a people who would not believe. 101 What can they be waiting for but the punishment that came to those before them? Say, "So wait; I am one of those waiting with you." 102 In the end We deliver Our messengers and those who believe: Thus is it fitting on Our part that We should deliver those who believe! 103
