Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? 30 And We have placed in the earth firm mountains lest it should move away with them, and We placed therein passages for paths, that haply they may be guided. 31 And We have made the sky a roof, protected; and they turn away from its signs. 32 And it is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; each one floats in an orbit. 33 And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal? 34 Every soul shall taste death. We will try you with a trial of evil and good. Then, to Us you shall be returned. 35 And when the disbelievers see you, they do not appoint you except as an object of mockery; “Is he the one who speaks ill of your Gods?”; whereas they deny the remembrance of the Most Gracious Himself! 36 Man is hasty by nature. I shall certainly show you My Signs. Do not ask Me to be hasty. 37 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" 38 If the unbelievers but knew when that they shall not ward off the Fire from their faces nor from their backs, neither shall they be helped! 39 The fire will suddenly strike and confound them. They will not be able to repel it, nor will they be given any respite. 40 And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule. 41
