The Amramites (Al-Imraan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. 1 Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal. 2 It is He Who has sent down the Book (the Quran) to you (Muhammad SAW) with truth, confirming what came before it. And he sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel). 3 Before, as guidance for the people. And He revealed the Qur'an. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe punishment, and Allah is exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution. 4 Verily Allah! naught is concealed from Him in the earth or in the heaven. 5 It is He Who fashions you in the wombs as He wills. There is no God but He; the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 6 It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding. 7 Our Lord! suffer not our hearts to deviate after that Thou hast guided us, and bestow on us from Thine presence mercy. Verily Thou! Thou art the Bestower! 8 Our Lord! surely Thou art the Gatherer of men on a day about which there is no doubt; surely Allah will not fail (His) promise. 9
