Prostration

Have you seen the one who turned away 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
