Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
