This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
